Are your gustatorial standards always so low, tyu?! (or are you being a 'baiter again, you cheeky devil?!)
Sometimes people might something quick and affordable, You and your kind still have Duckworths, Tonno and the Beauport I am not saying take out the expensive places just would be nice to have a couple of other choices that is all.
It baffles me why you would want Taco Bell when we have Taco Lupitas, which is as affordable as take out gets. Plus, we already have Subway and McDonalds. Did I mention all 4 grocery stores offer cheap pre-made food?

"Wealthy"?!?!  You're a riot.... (and putting The Beauport up there with Tonno, alone...let alone Duckworth's just compounds everything you have no clue about. And you forgot Feather & Wedge - or aren't you allowed to cross into Rockport?!).

Seriously - the choices for quick and inexpensive food in town are legion; you and your kind have nothing to bitch about.

When.McDonalds first came to Gloucester that they had a lock on other chains coming in.   Burger King for one was unsuccessful.

Papi’s fried chicken is good for my tastes and fries are tasty and plentiful.  The costs are about the same as KFC.

But Wendy’s has it all value, quality and selection.  A big meal is 4 for $4 and add-on sour cream, chive potato and a chili  - for under $10!

BUT,  no way would I trade P23K with a Wendy’s.  A basic P23K burger with beer batter rings or fries $7 is very satisfying.

The KFC that was in East Gloucester. Shopping Center predated McDonalds.  The food was good but you never knew if you were headed to the ER.

Nothing wrong with that, tyu (Wedny's does their thing far better than MacDonald's can ever hope to, for sure)...  But I'll lay money on there being more people here who'd kill for a real Indian restaurant in town (for which there are no alternatives here). "Wealthy" and otherwise!

[BI if you’re into low carbs - Stop and Shoo has Atkins frozen meals 2 for $7 or 2 for £4.90. (Save more!!)  Every four you buy get 40¢ off Stop and Shop gas at Fosters pumps or Dsnves [with card]

Sale ends tomorrow night.

I like Pier23 but what burger is $7 with rings or fries? The cheapest burger listed on the menu there is $12.

In the past year I have just order a hamburger, plain, medium rare salt and pepper with rings  (sometimes ketchup pickle). Since they opened for business this was true till three weeks ago - $7 w/ rings plus tax.

The $7 burger was posted with another part of the menu - NOT “build a burger” kindof hidden.

I found them an over-wrought mess - way too big and sloppy.

The over-wrought mess can be avoided two ways:

1. Use a fork and knife to eat a designer hamburger.  I too enjoy an everything burger.

2. Order an All-American,.. just meat and bun.  Otherwise stuff slides around.

I don’t even like a pickle sliding around as a matter of fact ketchup makes things too slippery for me.

All-American = beef (rare or medium rare) bun, salt and pepper.  I like the bun toasted - medium - it adds flavor and increase the coefficient of friction and decrease the coefficient of over-wroughtfullness.

Simplicity is the essence of good taste.

No, not at all tyu! I get why a lot of folks like them - tasty, for sure; I'm just turned off by the excess of them. If you can't put your mouth round the thing and get a decent bite without making an unholy mess...just not my style. 😋

There's nothing worse than tectonic shifting in a burger. Keep it simple! Slice of cheese, maybe some lettuce. That's it,

I hardly ever order a burger other than a veggie burger.  Stone's Pub has an awesome portabello mushroom burger and you can order their fantastic sweet potato fries with whatever that yummy sauce is with it! (FC...we are overdue for lunch!)  If I am going to have a beef burger...once a year maybe...it is going to be loaded with things like caramelized onions, mushrooms, cheese  and is going to need a knife and fork!

It was an absolute pleasure visiting Pastaio this afternoon! The selection was impressive and the owner couldn't have been more friendly. I came home with 1 pound of spaghetti and 1 pound of squid ink pasta. Its going to be a few days of damn good eating here 🍝🍴🍝

What is squid ink pasta? Is this a traditional ethnic dish, or something unique to Gloucester? I have never heard of this before and am curious.

I think it originates in Sicily, maybe other parts of the Mediterranean? Despite its color, it has neutral flavor. No different than regular pasta, although those with sensitive palates might detect a little saltiness.
