So now you have me looking at the Driza website
and all the heavy weather stuff they make.

I may buy myself something today...for XMas.

Never heard of Driza-Bone before today. I thank you.

A Good Conjunction Tonight!
I think it is supposed to be 50 years before these two get together this close!

Tonight – August 27, 2016 – the sky’s two brightest planets Venus and Jupiter will stage the year’s closest conjunction of two planets. These worlds appear only about 1/15th degree apart on the sky’s dome. How close is that? Well, 1/15th of a degree is the equivalent of about 1/7th to 1/8th of the moon’s apparent diameter. That’s a very small span, and these two worlds will easily fit within the same binocular or telescopic field of view... ---Sky and Telescope

Clear Sky!

That old saw "not a cloud in the sky" is very rare...
Always, you can see at least a wisp of something on the horizon.
Not tonight.

Mars is extra-red. Setting now. The crescent moon right before it.

The next few days we could have some good stuff floating in the harbor.

I love sea smoke.  Seeing those pics might motivate me to get out in the a.m. - or not, lol.  I got some Glosta Joe's Coffee for Christmas, got wood for the woodstove ...

Sea Smoke is always more fun with zero wind, but you can't have everything.

I wandered down to the Fort at lunch time; headed for a hockey rink to warm up.

Wow - awesome shot, Dun.  I checked at about 5:30 a.m.  It was 2 degrees, but the wind chill thingy was like -18.  So ... no, lol.

That is a very nice picture, Dun Fudgin!

I like all the little smoke spikes in the background. Is that from Stage Fort Park?
