🐟  This may be a contender for the weirdest news to come out of Gloucester.  We've had plenty of not-so-great news but this is just plain weird. 🐟

The tuna looks flayed open from the picture. Maybe the poacher took the choice cuts and dumped the carcass. They wouldn't have been able to sell it since it was illegal, but if it was poached, why not dump it at sea?

The story goes.....
(Names and some details removed)
So he went out of Pigeon Cove after the Tuna season ended and caught that fish. Apparently someone at Pigeon Cove saw him going out and knew him and why he was going and called the Greenies and dropped a dime.
He comes back with the fish, waits til night time, takes his girlfriends brand new Car and goes back to the boat, pulls off the fish, ties it to the bumper of the Car and drags it back to Lanesville. He called a buddy that processes Tuna because he thought he would be able to sell it to him and the dude told him no way!
So, He's stuck with a 400 pound, headless tuna with road rash. What does he do? Drags it up to the woods off Revere Street and buries it under a bunch of leaves and sticks banking on the coyotes and animals to eat it.
The dime dropper tells the Greenies about the webcam at Pigeon Cove and they pull the tapes, sure enough there he and his ill gotten Tuna. Oh, and he doesn't have a drivers license either.

Freaking hysterical!!!!!!

Brilliant hardly describes this brain surgeon. See what 300 years of inbreeding in Rockport does to a population.

Webcams are cheaper than police details. They work 24/7 practically for free....and what people forget is that they are ubiquitous.

Advise against assuming people fishing out of Pigeon Cove are from Rockport. Remember history of third and fifth parishes.
