OK

how about not threatening to start a nuclear war

how about acting like a grown up

how about listening to your own secretary of state

how about letting the thought of the just passed sanctions sink in

It is unlikely we will suffer

10 million South Koreans may however

Maybe we could do food drops to North Korea.

Neither has Trump. All we get is fire and fury, something we've never seen, blah, blah. When ask what that means, Trump say" just you wait and see", and he states it in the vocabulary of a third grader.

The entire NK population are like robots. They are isolated from the rest of the world. I bet if you drop them food they'll think it's a gift for their "great leader"!

Why is this only a US problem where is the rest of the world? What was done in the last 8 years to stop this person  from Korea?  I am so FUC&ING tired of the US having to fix everything every where. Isn't it time for other countries to do something?
Are you truly that unaware of what goes on around the world?

I've thought of this too, but I fear the recipients would be punished for being in possession of it.

Dun, the entire North Korean population are not like robots. They live under an oppressive regime and know that speaking up will land them and their family in a labor camp. Also, whats with that Youtube video? I think that's the Command and Conquer theme song lol. Great game!!

OK. maybe I am confusing you, or you're just being evasive here.

What I'm trying to say, and saying this to everyone here is:

Scenario. NK fires 4 missles at Guam, 3 are shot down, one hits something.

What do the people on this board think should be the US reaction?

strike back? do nothing? sing Kumbaya?
You think you know it, but you haven't got a clue!!

You just explained why they are robots. Here's them marching to the Bee Gees:

The voice of reason is still around.

Now, if those paranoid idiots (one on each side) can be held in check by the people around them, nothing may happen. I have no idea about the situation in NK, so all I can do is worry about the situation in the White House and the Pentagon. The bomb-the-shit-out-of-those-yellow-bastards faction is not relevant ; the problem is whether both leaders can accept the loss of face by threatening fire and brimstone and then not following through. -- peregrine

Sounds like he shot off a few missiles tonight and that they were duds...I sure hope so.

I can't remember if I mentioned that someone I spoke with on Cape Ann who has been living in Russia for 2 years said that Trump and Kim Jong Un are viewed in a similar fashion by the everyday people he knows there.  The people of Russia had a very brief honeymoon period with Trump (they hated H. Clinton because their media said she'd bring WWIII) was over after he bombed the airbase in Syria.

Earlier today, the NK News Agency said that North Korea might just
"sink Japan" and also reduce the United States to  "ashes and darkness."

And they just fired off a missile a few minutes ago...toward Japan?

Why doesn't the UN do something about this like send troops in and destroy his capability to launch missiles?

We don't have to send in troops. Once launched we can blow it out of the sky.

Don't forget what China said. They will stay neutral UNLESS we strike first. We do not want a war with China. I'm no expert, but if we took out North Korea preemptively, I can imagine China occupying North Korea. There will never be a unified pennisula on their watch.

"I probably have a very good relationship with Kim Jong Un,"  Mr. Trump said in an interview Thursday with The Wall Street Journal.  "I have relationships with people. I think you people are surprised."

Well...that's a relief.
