Horse racing is animal abuse, plain and simple. I came close to asking a jackass to step outside when he was loudly complaining that one of the 4 TV sets at the pub I was in during Freakness had the Sox on rather than the race.

Here's your trophy for winning the race there horsey...what's that? You have chest pains? No worries, your "owners" just cashed out big time. Hopefully your sperm is in a bank so that we carry on with the family tradition...

ON THAT NOTE:

Suffolk Downs 2016 Live Racing Festivals
Saturday, July 9 and Sunday, July 10
Saturday, August 6 and Sunday, August 7
Saturday, September 3 and Sunday, September 4

There might be food trucks. Horse Racing is USA's oldest sports and its winners'trophies are the earliest of American Silver.

Back when I really cut back on energy I took very quick COLD showers. As Woodie says "invigorating". My landlord, also an MD, said friend and fellow MD went out for a solo run followed by a cold shower at the hospital. When the cold water hit the doctor's chest it killed him instantly.

After being told that story I continued cold showers anyway.

In the mean time, April the Giraffe is going to have a calf any minute.

She is popular and has over a million viewers awaiting the birth.

April is acting funny tonight. I think it is time.
Her husband is pacing a lot, too.

It must suck to be a giraffe about to give birth.

I wish I could be more excited, but I'm still fretting about Crayola retiring DANDELION!

I heard about that signing of sale papers the other day.

But it sounds like the track will still be committed to simulcast
and a little bit of live racing this summer, as scheduled.

Always fun to buy a real ticket for The Derby at Suffolk.

I feel positive vibrations from Thunder Snow. I like the name.
He may be flying over for The Derby after a big win in Dubai.

Thunder Snow winning United Emirates Derby two weeks ago.

He is owned by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid al Maktoum, Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates.

Sheik Mohammed and his wife Princess Haya of Jordan at the races.

They could make a striking appearance at Churchill Downs next month.

I love how nonchalant she was walking around for hours with hooves poking out.

I've dedicated many hours to watching April, but I missed the big event.
Will have to watch a replay. Hooves first? Ouch.

.....................

This word Hoof, and its plural form sure has a funny rule:

Hoof noun, plural hoofs or hooves for 1, 2, 4; hoof for 3.

1. the horny covering protecting the ends of the digits or encasing the foot in certain animals, as the ox and horse.
