I'm just saying:

LeBlanc endorses Giacalone.

Cox endorses Hecht.

Hecht endorses Cox.

Nolan endorses Giacalone.

Nolan and LeBlanc endorse Orlando.

Theken (apparently) endorses Orlando.

Go figure ...

Endorsement-mania this time around.
Candidates endearing themselves to each other for our benefit at election time.

Always seems silly. Reminds me of an election year way back, when one candidate
gave a cash donation to all other candidates.

Elvis appeared with Nixon, but it did not necessarily indicate The King's strong support for the President.
Historians are comparing it to the Romeo-Theken/Orlando photo of more recent times.

This is NOT a tradition here.
I do not like it one little bit.
There are photo ops that Sefatia
should opt out of..
Don't you see that the whole aim of Newspeak is to narrow the range of thought?...   ..........

No one asked me to endorse them, so I won't!

Did Nixon use the photo on campaign material?

Administrator Cathy: No, Nixon did not use this photo on campaign literature.

If more older people and long time residents vote, whynot & ohara get in.  if more younger people and short time residents vote, cox & holmgren get in.  Lundberg & orlando seem a shoo-in.  orlando will get sefatia voters and lundberg gets everyone's 4th vote.
You think you know it, but you haven't got a clue!!

I just received my second robo-call from a Gloucester candidate. One last night, and a repeat a few minutes ago.

Are the incumbents trying to collect votes for Council President through these endorsements?

I have no idea - just seems pretty weird.

I was # 228 in Magnolia around 11:30 (I think that was the number - that was a couple of hours ago and I didn't write it down, lol).

I got the two robo-calls from Ciolino.  After the second one I thought, "Wow - cha-ching, cha-ching."

More cha-ching:  Orlando has a red sticker on the front of the GDTimes.  Effectively eye-catching even if you don't get the paper - I saw it as I passed the newspaper rack at the supermarket.  The Orlando mailer that I got just a few days ago came from the Mass Republican State Committee.

Seems like the ante is being upped in council races.  Robo-calls, stickers, mailers - none of that has any influence on my vote.  I was still wavering in the voting booth, a result of watching all the debates.

Cape Ann Museum has a great post on FB with this pic from Kelleher's, 1975 - 22 Candidates!!

The Republican machine has been working the "down" elections across the nation very effectively for 20-odd years.
While the DNC constantly trips up over its own dick...

Yikes.  West Parish, Lanesville - no ward council race, Mayor is a given?

Maybe people are just coming in more spread out than usual.  I voted the same place as you (Cathy) on my way to work and was one of just 2 people there.  But between then and when you voted around 150 people more.  So slow but steady maybe.  I hope there will be a good turnout.
