There were a lot of threads about nothing.  Some before my time.  Peacemonger started one so I could see what they were about.  I think the last one we had here was accidentally started by rosie :-)

As kids we had a cat named Sammy. I think it was my mom who named him - after Samuel F. B. Morse. He sometimes made noises like dots and dashes eh eeh eh ehhh - I had a Maine Coon Cat that did the same... and then my calico learned catcode.

I know someday we'll have iTranslateKitty.

My favorite sitcom, Sly.  I still watch it almost every night just before bed. I've seen them all so many times but I still laugh.

I used to make quilts and often used calico.  Often made my kids' clothes, too - always matching dresses for Christmas and Easter and awesome Halloween costumes.

It seems like there is never a Greasy Pole walk that doesn't include a walker named, "Sammy."

SPEAKING OF FIESTA AND SEINFELD's NYC - imagine Elaine (a real life billionaire) protesting the closing of SJC, the Pope visits and Kramer gets involved anti-developer and fires three raw eggs at the Holy Father by mistake

===========

Saint Joseph's chapel - Ground Zero

A refuge for the 9/11 ground zero workers was St Joseph' Chapel a few blocks south-west was commandeered by rescue support of the recovery effort of the twin towers. The associated archdiocese allowed the pews to be removed but only temporary.

As NYC and America recovered from the shock of terrorism St Joseph's would be remembered for those recovering from heroism. We will never forget.

But it seems the developer has a memory problem.

This developer forgot.

The tiny place is now back to being Saint Joseph's chapel and is still 275 SF subterranean (basement) and located in an area of the Manhattan that has been made fairly classy. Before 2014 rent was about $7K per month and then the parish was under a phenomenal increase to $22K per month - 275SF!!!

The developer is not Trump but another Manhattan developer LeFrak. LeFrak's father built a sizable apartment complex of 14,000 people in another area of NYC which has a decent reputation for housing low to medium people.

The developer cut the rent to $19K per month and even though the chapel could afford a fraction the archdiocese cuts a check for what ever the cost.

The parish wants to stay but the parish priest wants to dissolve the chapel next month. It's not know what influence the developer has over the priest.

So while Gloucester has its Fiesta, the procession, the pole, the blessing and the fun ... think of Saint Joseph's Chapel NYC and wonder if it's history will be forgotten.

Donald Trump Jr. nailed a Wildabeast! I am thinking he might be a good choice for new FBI Director?

When DJT is fired from POTUS then DJT jr could become POTUS.

All you need is an amendment to the constitution. It only takes about an hour to write an amendment. You will need a computer or Wang word processor, or selelectric typewriter or just a number two ticonderoga pencil with eraser intact.

OR

Ignore the constitution.

Why would DJT need an eraser when he is writing an amendment ? Except to erase the Constitution, maybe.
