So I can't remember the last time I made a New Year's resolution.  However for some years now I have chosen a guiding word (pretty much sure that was an idea I got from Island Annie here years ago but not sure?)  Anyway...I have chosen words like Kindness, Love, Bold. This year it was Fearless because I think that is what is necessary for this year.  Do you make resolutions?  Have you kept them?  Or just live life as it comes?

I have managed to keep my resolution for the past few years -- it's been the same one: not to make New Year's Resolutions.

Well you are ahead of me...you actually made a resolution and kept it!  I do pay attention to my guiding words. This year it pushes me out of my  comfort zone but that is where I live anyway.

Thank you, Fortune Cookie.

I looked up the Juvenile Cooper's. That seems like a good fit.
It has been hanging around the neighborhood for a few days now.

Sharpies and Coopers both stalk bird feeders. It's a bit like hunters and feeding stations.

I saw a Fisher Cat this evening. The first time I have ever seen one.
Big week for exotic creatures in the neighborhood!

Why are they called Fisher Cats when they aren't feline?

I love seeing wildlife and sometimes see bears on my property in NH...have a couple dens over the ridge behind my house. 60 degrees up here on Wednesday...maybe they will wake up early.

My cousin's autistic grandson is in this video.  This is also about the teens who stepped up as dates, organizers and and cheering squad.

Repeatedly making decisions online (mainly FB) this week to just not say anything.  If it is a moral issue for me, I speak up consequence be damned.  But the stupid stuff...just not worth it.

I can't remember the last time that I was so entertained online as I have been while following Dustin Luca, a Salem News reporter, on Twitter.  He tweets from Salem city meetings and is awesomely informative while being just spitting-on-my-keyboard funny.  He just so gets the whole small-town politics thing.  Plus I'm in awe of his thumbs - I'm just so not there with the thumb/phone rapid typing thing.

I just got a text saying "I need new tweets!" Sorry I vanished briefly, writing really quickly for deadline.

That was totally you, right?

There is a lot of sitting on one's hand with local FB posts. The momentary laugh that people might get from my snark is not worth it long term. 🙄
