what the heck, it's been a few years!
We use a shower curtain liner for a very economical groundcloth. They last a long time and are only a few dollars to replace if they get torn.

Since I started using that house wrap stuff it's light enough to use both in and out.

the blue tarp stuff which is not nearly as slippery as plain plastic. The clear stuff underneath so I don't have to deal with mud on my tent.

When canoe camping I just used the Tyvec stuff underneath to keep mud off the tent... I also have a way good rainfly on my no-name tent that has not failed me yet.

so there !
