...my uncle, just recently departed, who proclaimed his affection for his wife, my aunt, on the tree in front of my grandparent's house, probably about 45 years ago now or so. Every time we visited the house, the two names inside the heart were always one of the first things we saw walking up the drive. I'd be curious to know if the "arbourglyph" is still there in Moose Jaw. I didn't realize there was a whole field of study devoted to them, but then again, why not. I'm familiar with the work done in the Vimy tunnels, didn't realize Canadian soldiers had been such devotees of defacing trees also...
