My Great Great Aunt was with the Royal Mounted Police but I don't know if it was the Perserverance Troop or Mr. Gary's Horses. Also, I THINK they rode sadel camels. Can anybody help?

I knew Fort Garry. I rode with him on our sadels. I broke bread with him and we had many a good time together. And you, Mr Green, are no Fort Garry.
Your uncharitable remarks notwithstanding Mr. Cona, I just heard from the late General MacNaughton who knew my Great Great Aunt. She was Gunner Ernie Pyle and operated an acoustical listening array for early aircraft early warning for the Royel Canadian Artillery, 5th Hearing Aid Battery.
Apparently he knew her from the earlier Boor War where she was a Boor Commando. It was her job to sneak into enemy camps, sit with her feet on their coffee tables, break wind and interrupt them loudly when they were speaking.
Semper Flatulent! (Boor motto).
