Anyone have any insider's info on this one? Production values look high. I'll save the nitpicky comments on the post-war Sherman; the rest of the trailer looks spectacular.

I had a tiny role in some research, and know another researcher who provided quite a lot of help in contacting RRR veterans. Something like 10 Days to D-Day if I had to guess? Tells the stories of three men, Sgt Dan Hartigan (1 Can Para), Lieut Bill Grayson (RRR) and Sgt Leo Gariepy (1st Hussars). Juno footage shot at Sauble Beach this summer, don't know who they used to put that together.

There is a companion documentary that will go with it and will include veteran interviews. The RRRs involved have not provided a lot of information previously, so I am looking forward to that.

Yes, other than the post-WWII Sherman, it looks like a lot of work went into the research for this production and it is something that I am looking forward to seeing. I think there will be a good amount of discussion on this forum after it airs on the 11th.

Did anyone read the latest issue the CMHJ which has a really "odd" article about Passchedaele? Almost an apology for the movie...

Yes, that article and the one on the 10 movies was in response to a letter I wrote to the magazine which was published two issues ago.

Check the reply on the Imperial German/Russian button mix-up in the Letters section.
