Service Publications sells a CD-ROM with all the award documents for the Second World War on it.

It is an awesome resource of all citations OBE, MM, DCM etc thousands upon thousands.

Yes it is in html and if I recall correctly is arranged by last name groupings and can be searched via the browser. I forget if there was a global search though.

The Directorate of History and Heritage now has the 1939-45 Honours and Awards online for free. You can view a scan and download an image (PDF) of the actual award citation.

Searchable by name; date; medal type (DSO, MC, MM, etc.) and unit.

Thanks for that link! I found the citation that I was after! My great Uncle's MM citation from the Dieppe Raid!

Give me his name and I will do a look-up on the CD. Sometimes there is additional info that is not available on-line from DHH.
