I'm an Italian journalist and I'm researching the Canadian Army fighting in Italy and in particular on the commencement on 3 October 1943 in Motta MOntecorvino near Foggia. How can I get information about this fight? my mail perniceluca08@gmail.com

There is some info on my website about this battle, here:

https://www.canadiansoldiers.com/histor ... /motta.htm

The Official History of the Canadian Army is available for free download online, both from the Canadian Army and the Hyperwar website.

Download the pdf here:

That should get you started. The regiments that fought there still exist and you can also try their regimental museums:

The King's Own Calgary Regiment (RCAC) - search for The Military Museums in Calgary
The Royal Canadian Regiment - still part of Canada's regular army
The Hastings and Prince Edward Regiment - still part of Canada's reserve army
