Canadian War Museum not open in 2017?

Just pulled an eight-page glossy advert out of the local paper. Ottawa Tourism is promoting all the events of 2017 - the 150th Anniversary of Confederation, the 105th Grey Cup, all kinds of music festivals and theatre events - and a mention of the science museum which won't even be open until November.

Conspicuously absent were any mentions of the Canadian War Museum, or the centennial of Vimy Ridge.

Should I be surprised?

It may be an oversight, an exhibition on Vimy does appear to be in the works, albeit this looks rather amorphous, and April 9 is barely four months away!

More importantly, what is planned for 2018, will proper recognition be given to the Canadian Corps decisive contribution to the One Hundred Days?

Interesting link, scary.

You make a good point about the importance of the 1918 campaigns. I do hope something special is done by way of commemoration.

This seems to be what the CWM has planned for the Vimy anniversary next month
