After 8+ years I am finally putting the finishing touches to my opus on Canadian military headdress over the last 2 centuries. My intent is to get this finished and to the printer by September.

I have reached the point where I 'think' I have examples of almost every 'hat' worn during this period. Some exceptions include a blue highland bonnet (with dicing) from the 1950-60s and...?

What I need now is for members here to look at their collections and send me quick snaps of items that they believe may be unusual (not necessarily rare though). Based on your photo I will be able to tell if I have a suitable image already or if I need to include your item.

Your pics can be sent to clive@servicepub.com You can also call me to discuss any items - 613-820-7350. Although I cannot afford to give a free copy to contributors you will gain some fame as your collection will be credited in the caption.

I am also looking for good portraits of any Canadian headdress in wear. These will be used to illustrate the appropriate sections.

Clive

Clive, this is looking like it will be a phenomenal reference work for Canadian headdress. Looking forward to the final product.

I agrre with Bill. Clive showed me some 15 pages of his draft and I was in awe of the quality of the layout and the vast number of hats he has been able to include in the work.

It will be probably his crowning achievement!!
