Right, only six out of thirty...
The pilot (two hours),
The second regular installment (what I'd call 1.3, but you'll more often see called 1.2, anyway, the one that ends with the dream, excerpts from the pilot's European ending...),
The second season premiere (two hours),
The one after that,
The one with the reveal and Maddy's death (2.7),
And the finale (or half of it, since 21 & 22 originally aired together).
And the movie, of course.

The scripts are reportedly finished, and are all by Lynch and Frost. So we're not even talking about a 'Lynch-less Twin Peaks'.

I would accept a different director. I'm sure I would not like it AS much, but... I really want more of the story, even a bit compromised.

But if a majority of the cast are really not interested in coming back without him directing, well... That's a fine negotiating tactic, but... I'll be bummed if Showtime pulls the plug.

(Gosh, I wanna see how they'd explain Audrey having survived the cliffhanger...)

I didn't know you'd ever watched it.

In an act of civil disobedience ('Save the pine weasel!'), Audrey chains herself to a vault in the bank. But (in another story) there was a bomb in the vault (at the end of a treasure hunt), and the bank went ka-blooey. (If there'd been a third season back then, she'd have survived, but it sure didn't LOOK like she could have...)

A few details nobody else has had so far (though still couched in speculation, mostly). Interesting that Lynch didn't tell his lawyer first, and that Frost was surprised..,

"I've got good news."

http://tvline.com/2015/05/15/twin-peaks ... -resolved/

Back on track. And even better... It's more than nine hours now.

Needed this, two days before the finale of one of my all-time favorites, and within a week of the final Letterman, which is sorta on the same scale of Life Chapter Closing that my daytime soaps of more than a quarter-century going away was...

It would have been silly if they hadn't resolved their issues.

I don't often care/wonder/think much about the production budgets, but I am very curious about how far apart they were, and what the ultimate compromise was here...

Was a very depressing thought that it wasn't going to happen. Relieved.

Huh.

I've previously seen it said that the 'more than nine hours' thing meant that some episodes would last longer than an hour, but we can still expect to get nine episodes.

Apparently... maybe this should be considered a 'rumor' and not an official confirmation, but today Sheryl Lee and Sherilyn Fenn are at a Seattle convention telling people there will be 18 new episodes of Twin Peaks.

Let's rock.
