81 episodes in four seasons between '05 and '09... (22/22/13/22+2 on an epilogue dvd release)... And now they're doing an 'event series' return for 9 episodes.

While I was definitely ready for it to end when it did, I know I won't be able to resist the cheesy allure of 'more'.

Michael (though he died at the end of the series; whatever...) and Lincoln are in, and Sara and T-Bag are probable... http://tvline.com/2016/01/15/prison-bre ... ara-t-bag/

The show was pretty good for a couple seasons, or at least it was unique enough to hold my interest. It did deteriorate and I can't believe we hung in till the end or at least I did. We have seen a couple of movies that Purcell has done, and they have all been sucky.

Ridiculous show, but entertaining (I enjoy The Blacklist now in the same spirit). I thought it was kinda fun seeing everybody stuck in a new setting/prison in Panama in Season 3, but the fourth season's conspiracy mythology (our guys were blackmailed into being Dirty Dozen-ish spies, and... I don't know...) spun things a little TOO goofy, even compared to all the goofy shit they'd already sorta kinda gotten away with.

Fichtner was my favorite guy in the cast, of course, and I will hope his Alex Mahone turns up in the revival.

And T-Bag was always a delightful cretin.

Michael's death looked inescapable, yes, but they are a show that's entirely capable of... one's suspension-of-disbelief is THOROUGHLY suspended, or you won't get past ten minutes of it.. It's okay. He'll get better.

So, back are Michael, Lincoln, Sara, Sucre, T-Bag, C-Note, and Paul. Bummed not to see Fichtner's Mahone on the list, but seven back is a good showing.

Wentworth Miller -- Michael Scofield /Kaniel Outis
Dominic Purcell -- Lincoln Burrows
Sarah Wayne Callies -- Sara Tancredi
Paul Adelstein -- Paul Kellerman
Rockmond Dunbar -- Benjamin Miles 'C-Note' Franklin
Robert Knepper -- Theodore 'T-Bag' Bagwell
Amaury Nolasco -- Fernando Sucre
Mark Feuerstein -- Jacob Anton Ness
Inbar Lavi -- Sheba
Augustus Prew -- Whip

Core five returning - Michael, Lincoln, Sara, T-Bag, Sucre.
Returning after sitting out Season 3 and most of Season 4 - C-Note and Paul.
New - Jacob, Sheba, and Whip.

It does not feel like it's been 8 years since it ended... (I guess it hasn't been that long for ME, since I watched the straight-to-dvd final two episodes on Netflix in between... still...)

First hour was intriguing enough - why? How?

It's a silly show.

I am ashamed to admit that I did watch the first hour. I've been doing some little jewelry projects and I have a small work table in our family room I put it on while I was doing that stuff. My husband totally refuses to even consider it. He quit watching the original show before it ended. And they how it is silly but it wasn't as bad as I expected. Considering I don't like any of the cast other than tea bag I don't know why I would even try watching it but anyhow I'm recording it and if I have other little things to do I may continue to put it on.
