Rented UP! Which we really liked. Funny, sweet.

Also rented 500 Days of Summer, which was very bittersweet. I liked this much more than my husband did.

Has anybody seen Shutter Island? We want to go but I'm a bit scared to go. It's the kind of thing that will make me jump out of my skin. On the other hand, I loved going to see Aliens.

I've heard nothing but good things about "Up". I'll see it when it arrives on HBO or Showtime. I watched "Moulin Rouge" today for the first time in a few years. I never get tired of that movie. Ewan McGregor SOOO should have won an award......anything......for that role. :wow:

Up In The Air. I don't get it. I thought it was OK, long, possibly dull. Really do not get the awards, really don't.

Ok, another one I did not get "sherlock Holmes", we hated it. Turned it off after 45 minutes.

Did see one called the Stepfather which was better than I had expected (of course i had expected very little). John Tenney was in it as well as 2 GL formers, Sherry Stringfield and one of the old Dinah characters (not WM), the one who was the wife that was killed last season on Damages. Dax, i am sure you know....

Krystal--are there any movies you DO like? I loved both Up In The Air and Sherlock Holmes. I'm actually thinking of buying Sherlock Holmes on dvd and I haven't bought a movie in years!

I liked the Downey Sherlock Holmes a lot.

Paige Turco. She's pretty.

I'll see the Stepfather remake 'one of these days' (for Nip/Tuck's Dylan Walsh), but I've never seen the original (with Lost's Terry O'Quinn), either...

I have not seen the original either. I'll bet O"Quinn was good in it.

Oh, I also liked Star trek a lot, but probably more because the characters did seem like young versions of the TV show, not that it was so great.

There actually hve been quite a few good movies about the current wars, although they are all depressing.

Thank goodness! :applause:

Dax--I'm with you on Stepfather. I want to see Dylan Walsh play a bad guy. He looked pretty scary in the promos.
