Starts 9/23.

During the first season, Thor: The Dark World and Captain America: The Winter Soldier (both shorthanded as ___ '2') were released (the latter, very relevantly to the show's story...). This year, there's just one Marvel film scheduled while the show will be airing, and it's likely to be when there's only an episode or two left...

Guardians of the Galaxy, the tenth film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (and first to not star a member of the Avengers) will be released on 8/1.

Avengers: Age of Ultron ('Avengers 2'/Marvel #11) comes out on 5/1/15.

The show will have a midseason finale in December and be replaced with Marvel's Agent Carter in January for an eight-episode run. Netflix has a 13-episode Daredevil series premiering in April 2015. (I'll continue to post Agent Carter, Daredevil, and the-other-Netflix-series news in here, not give them their own threads until they're closer to airing/streaming...)

and then... (EDITED ON 2/10/15 to reflect changes after Spider-Man has joined the MCU)

12 - Ant-Man -- 7/17/15 (end of Phase Two)
13 - Captain America: Civil War (Cap 3; start of Phase Three) -- 5/6/16
14 - Doctor Strange -- 11/8/16
15 - Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 -- 5/5/17
16 - New Sony Spider-Man, now existing in the Marvel Cinematic Universe -- 6/28/17
17 - Thor: Ragnarok (Thor 3) -- 11/3/17
18 - Avengers: Infinity War - Part 1 (Avengers 3) -- 5/4/18
19 - Black Panther -- 7/6/18
20 - Captain Marvel -- 11/2/18
21 - Avengers: Infinity War - Part 2 (Avengers 4) -- 5/3/19
22 - The Inhumans -- 7/12/19 (end of Phase Three)

From 5/2/08 to 5/3/19... 22 movies and (probably) 7 tv series by that time... busy.

Directors of Cap 2 (Anthony & Joe Russo) directing second and third episodes of Agent Carter, director of Cap 1 (Joe Johnston) might be directing #4.

Kyle Maclachlan as Skye's father... cool.

http://www.deadline.com/2014/08/upcomin ... -schedule/ Nice chart of Marvel, Sony (Spider-Man), Fox (X-Men, Fantastic Four) and DC movie dates... yeah... over-saturation IS going to become an issue here, I think...

Good premiere.

Same six-person cast as last year, plus a seventh - Nick Blood as new guy Lance Hunter.

Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange... it's not official yet, but it seems like it will be soon - I agree with Drew McWeeny at Hitfix, saying this >> Cumberbatch is, without question, an incredibly strong actor, and adding his icy imperiousness to the mix should make for an interesting new dynamic among the Marvel characters. In some ways, this is the best Marvel could have hoped for. Cumberbatch has a rabid fan base, he's a serious awards-season contender as well as a guy who has demonstrated a willingness to play in the big blockbuster space as well, and he's well-known without being a giant movie star.

Lots of news today...

Chadwick Bozeman is playing Black Panther. He'll premiere in Cap 3, and have his own film in November of '17.
Cap 3 has a title. Thor 3 has a title, and a date.
Doctor Strange has a date.
Guardians 2 moved up two months.
Avengers 3 is a two-parter (so... I'll WANT to call them 3 & 4, but it's really gonna be more 3-1 and 3-2...).
Captain Marvel (a female) will be their first female top-lining film. Hm. Okay, but I'd hoped for a Black Widow solo...
The Inhumans has a date.

Details in the top post... I'll keep editing that as new info becomes available.

Upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe vs. DC's announced shared universe plans - 'Man of Steel' from 2013 was #1 (whereas Marvel's was 2008's 'Iron Man')
--
Release Schedule, mixed together, in order of claimed dates... (EDIT - pre-Marvel/Sony deal over Spider-Man... this is no longer correct, but I'm not gonna fix this one...)
--
MCU 11 - Avengers: Age of Ultron -- 5/1/15
MCU 12 - Ant-Man -- 7/17/15 (end of Phase Two)
DC 2 - Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice -- 3/25/16
MCU 13 - Captain America: Civil War (Cap 3; start of Phase Three) -- 5/6/16
DC 3 - Suicide Squad -- 8/5/16
MCU 14 - Doctor Strange -- 11/8/16
MCU 15 - Guardians of the Galaxy 2 -- 5/5/17
DC 4 - Wonder Woman -- 6/23/17
MCU 16 - Thor: Ragnarok (Thor 3) -- 7/28/17
MCU 17 - Black Panther -- 11/3/17
DC 5 - Justice League Part 1 -- 11/17/17
DC 6 - The Flash -- 3/23/18
MCU 18 - Avengers: Infinity War - Part 1 (Avengers 3) -- 5/4/18
MCU 19 - Captain Marvel -- 7/6/18
DC 7 - Aquaman -- 7/27/18
MCU 20 - The Inhumans -- 11/2/18
DC 8 - Shazam -- 4/5/19
MCU 21 - Avengers: Infinity War - Part 2 (Avengers 4) -- 5/3/19 (end of Phase Three)
DC 9 - Justice League Part 2 -- 6/14/19
DC 10 - Cyborg -- 4/3/20
DC 11 - Green Lantern -- 6/19/20

Wow. And that's not even including Fox's X-Men and Fantastic Four, or Sony's Spider-Man... Here's an article tossing them into the mix... http://comicbook.com/2014/10/28/when-do ... -updated-/

This link tosses in Star Wars - http://www.hitfix.com/comedy/every-supe ... ical-order (I thought of doing an all-Disney calendar, including Disney Feature Animation, Pixar, Marvel, and Star Wars...)

Additionally, ABC's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Agent Carter and Netflix's Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and The Defenders do or will inter-relate to the movies.

But DC's televised properties don't/won't connect to the movies. CW's Arrow and The Flash are successful, but won't tie to the films (unless there's a 'Crisis on Infinite Earths' story somewhere down the line...). The film series' Barry Allen will be played by Ezra Miller; on tv, it's Grant Gustin.
