Odd that producer Abrams is down to one show (Person of Interest on CBS) with Believe and Revolution dying at NBC and Almost Human being a one-and-done at Fox. But this sounds great... (Abrams himself is, of course, really pretty busy with Star Wars...)

I watched the preview show for The Leftovers the other night. I'm intrigued, though I felt there seemed to be the potential for too many characters. There was some explanation that the show is more concerned with the aftermath of whatever happened, and that's fine with me. But, I wonder how many viewers will become upset if the show doesn't offer any answers.

Yeah. And the whole premise is rooted in, um, there very probably not BEING any 'answers'. And of course, Lindelof will be taking more heat for that than Perrotta...

I think we chatted about the interview he did not so long ago. Maybe it was in the Hollywood Reporter? He seemed to be still somewhat pained about people hating on the LOST finale. So, it's interesting to me that he would take on a project like this, where it seems ripe with potential for the audience to turn on him.

Right. Either one of the tenth anniversary interviews or (and) the time he quit twitter because he had to step away from the torrent of hate.

I get his being attracted to the material... it feels as though it might share some thematic qualities with Lost... but the 'mystery' of it... like he's asking for trouble...

Really good discussion between Lindelof and Stephen King in a recent Entertainment Weekly.

King usually annoys the crap out me but I enjoy hearing what Lindelof has to say about things. If I come across that issue of EW, I'll give it a look.
