I've been reading this series for years... :) Not sure what number they are up to, but like it a lot. They also have a spinoff series from the original about a pack.

I think they're up to #7. I have 4,5,6 in my Amazon cart.

Is the spinoff the 'Alpha and Omega' series? Did you like that one too Bloss?

Yes the Alpha/Omega series is the spinoff. It was good too as it explains more of what life was like when Mercy was growing up... Of course, my favorite series was the Weather Warden one by Rachel Caine. I'm not sure if you read those, but that one is complete.

I'm up to book 8 (of 15!!!!) in the Morganville Vampire series. I liked the earlier books but it's seeming stale. So I'm wondering how I'll make it to #15. I ha ven't read the Weather Warden series. I'll add it to my list.

I have through 9 of the Morganville Vampire Series on my bookshelf. I haven't bought the rest as I haven't seen them in paperback or in discounted hardcover. I found #9 for $3 at an overrun store. The Weather Warden books aren't YA, and are all in paperback (that's how I got them initially as the series started before there really were eBooks except for the Star Trek: COE books.)

Gate, this one is for you: Brilliance. This is about 10% of humanity being borm with ultra intelligence and of couse the rest hating them. Reminds me a bit of Reborn.

Is it by Marcus Sakey? It looks good. Thank you!

That is the one. I am now reading Darkbound by M Collings, sort of zombie horror in a subway, half through and so far so good.

Joe Hill's Horns. I really liked it. Owen King's "Were All in it Together", not so much.

I am anxiously awaiting Dr Sleep to be delivered to my Kindle on the 24th. NYT gave it a great write up, it is Danny all grown up from the Shining....

I am now reading "5 Days at Memorial" which is just terrific. About the aftermath of Katrina, and the Hell the doctors and patients went through at memorial Hospital in New Orleans. This book has brought me to tears multiple times already and I am only about 1/3 through it. Great writing.
