To Mr Robert Chua,

It has come to the attention of the Bruce Lee Foundation that you are organizing a private Gala Dinner for the 45th Anniversary of Bruce Lee on 20 July 2018. You have also mentioned that part of the income will be donated to the Bruce Lee Foundation founded by Linda Lee Cadwell and Shannon Lee.

I was instructed by the Bruce Lee Foundation to inform you that you are not allowed to use their name in any of your promotion or otherwise for the Gala Dinner. In fact the dinner was organized without their consent or endorsement. You have not contacted the Bruce Lee Foundation for any of your proposed arrangements.

Please respect the names, reputation and intellectual property rights of Bruce Lee and the Bruce Lee Foundation.

All legal rights of Bruce Lee and his likeness and the Bruce Lee Foundation are hereby reserved.

Regards
Dr. Lewis Luk
On the instructions of the
Bruce Lee Foundation

The Estate is completely oblivious regarding public relations. It's mind boggling.

They should have changed it to 'Bruce LeRoy' and kept the money. :)

Furthermore, the courts already decided a long time ago, when they sided with Tom Bleecker, that the Estate does not have exclusive control of Bruce's name and image.

I think I'd tell them to climb a wall of dicks and have the event anyway... then donate the money regardless.
