EXT. GOLDEN HARVEST STUDIOS - DAY

Bruce walking and he walks to the restroom.

The door closes.


INT. RESTROOM

Bruce inside the john.

Standing there for a moment.

BRUCE'S P.O.V.

A beat.

His vision starts to go blur.

BRUCE

(weird echo sound effect)
Wait... What's this?


BRUCE

He is dizzy

He then falls on the floor.

EXT. BATHROOM

SUPER: MINUTES LATER

Lisa Hung reading a script.

She closes it and goes inside the restroom.

INT. RESTROOM

As Lisa is inside. She sees Bruce is laying on the floor.

LISA

Holy...SHIT!

She approaches to Bruce.


LISA

Bruce, Bruce, Are you alright?
Bruce, Bruce!

INT. HOSPITAL - EXAM ROOM - DAY

Several X-Rays of Bruce's skull shown of a large viewer of the screen
THREE DOCTORS, one of them, JOHN GERSH (mid 60's) and Linda are seeing
it.


GERSH

Whatever has caused your husband this...

We cannot find anything.

No trace at all.

LINDA

You have no idea then.

GERSH

Look, don't blame us,

we can't find anything what caused

Bruce to go blackout on himself.

(beat)

He's a 32 year old, besides,
he has the body of a 18 year old.

I'm sure he'll be fine.

INT. BRUCE'S ROOM

The door is open and there is Linda.

She closes it. Approaches to Bruce and is seated on a chair.

BRUCE
Sleeping.

A beat.

He slowly wakes up, staring up the ceiling and then turns to face
Linda.


Hi .


Hi .


BRUCE

LINDA

BRUCE


Anything wrong?

LINDA

They couldn't find anything.

But the reports says you're fine.

And you have the body of a 18 year old
in great shape.

Bruce snickers in a smile as well as Linda.

LINDA

Well, they suggest you stay for two
weeks and you'll be fine, okay?


Bruce nods.


LINDA

(whisper tone) (smiling)

Alright...Bye, honey.

BRUCE

Bye .

She emerges from her seat to leave. Bruce looks right to the ceiling.

INT. CAFETERIA - DAY

Bruce is seated and is eating.

Doctor Gersh comes by.


GERSH

How are you doing, Bruce?

BRUCE

Fine, like what Linda said.

I have a body of a 18 year old.


GERSH

Are there any projects you're working
on soon?


Gersh laughs.

Well, I was looking forward to finish
a film I started working on last year,

I'm thinking of finishing filming September
of this year.

GERSH

Great. Great.

Suddenly, V.O. picks up from a FEMALE NURSE.

FEMALE NURSE (V.O.)

Dr. Gersh...Dr. Gersh...

Please come in to Room 232 for check-up.
GERSH

Excuse me.

Bruce nods.

He goes back to eating.

Then stops, looks up and says.

BRUCE

Two weeks...Heh.

Betty answers the door.

It's Bruce, carrying the script of The Game of Death.

They kiss each other in the cheek and hug, and pull away.


BETTY

BRUCE

He enters the apartment, she closes the door.

BETTY

So, how are you, Bruce?

BRUCE

Fine, fine.

The usual.

BETTY

As always.

(beat) (curious)

I see you have a script.
BRUCE

Can we discuss it at dinner.
BETTY


Sure .


TIME-CUT

DINNER

Bruce and Betty eat.
Bruce finishes.


BRUCE

I want you for a role for my film
The Game of Death, which I'm writing
and directing.

BETTY

Hmmm. . .

Really?

BRUCE

Yeah.

You're playing my wife.

BETTY (nods)

Okay.

What's the story about.

BRUCE

It's a story about survival from death
I'm playing a character whose retrieving a
treasure on top of the highest pagoda guarded
by five high skilled antagonistic martial artists


Betty nods.

BRUCE

There are five hired martial artists including me
go to the pagoda.

Each of them get killed as I will take over to kill
the guards.

BETTY

(nods again)

Seems interesting.

A beat.

Bruce then fades his conversation down to himself feeling sick.

BETTY

Are you alright, Bruce?

BRUCE

I don't know.

BETTY

Don't worry, I'll get you something.

Betty emerges from her seat.

CABINET

She opens it and grabs a analgesic painkiller as it's writings are in
Chinese,

She closes the cabinet, and approaches to Bruce.

DINNER

Betty gives the painkiller to Bruce, he puts it in his mouth and
drinks it, swallows it with a thump of a music appears intensively.

BETTY


BRUCE

I hope you don't mind that I rest in your room.
BETTY

Sure .


CUT TO:

INT. BETTY'S ROOM
BRUCE

He lays on her bed.


BETTY (O.S.)

Goodnight, Bruce.

BRUCE

Goodnight.

As he closes his eyes, we FADE OUT to BLACK very slowly
BLACK SCREEN

Sounds of ambulance siren appears.


JUMP CUT TO:

EST SHOT - EXT. HOSPITAL - NIGHT
WIDE VIEW of the building.

It's silent. No noise at all.

INT. BRUCE'S ROOM - NIGHT

Linda opens the door and stares at Bruce's motionless body, she
doesn't know he's dead as in the beginning, it was more of an
alternate explanation.

A NURSE looks depressed. Linda slowly turns to her.

LINDA

Is he...Alive?

The nurse shakes her head "No".

Linda turns to stare at Bruce.

All the staff members leave the room.

LINDA

She stares as long enough until she closes her eyes.

C.U. - LINDA

Her eyes open, tears start filling out, and she makes a weeping sound.

INT. NANCY'S HOME - DAY
SUPER: JULY 21, 1973
FADE OUT TEXT

INT. DINING TABLE

Nancy Darrin and her friend, CIRRI THOMPSON seated and talk in a
conversation in an excited mood.

Until, news appear from the radio.

They listen to it.


ANNOUNCER (V.O.)

We interrupt with shocking news that
Bruce Lee, martial artist and actor
has died yesterday of July 20, 1973.
Yes. Bruce Lee, has died on that day

Nancy's smile fades and goes silent for a beat.
Cirri goes in concerns for Nancy.

Nancy then passes out with a fall on the floor.
Cirri comes down towards to Nancy.


CIRRI


Nancy, Nancy!

Can you hear me?

(beat)


NANCY!


(screams)


CUT TO:

INT. MARGARET'S HOME - DAY

Margaret is stunned with silence until she drops her teacup
TEACUP

It shatters on the floor.


(Oh, no.)


MARGARET


CUT TO BLACK

Silence.

EXT. LAKEVIEW CEMETERY (SEATTLE) - ENTRANCE - DAY

A cloudy, snowy day outside in the cold drenched of the cemetery.

WIDE VIEW

We see many different graves
SUPER: TUESDAY, DECEMBER 25, 1973

We then PAN to the RIGHT and stop focusing on a person wearing a coat
walking to one certain grave.

GRAVE TOMBSTONE

It is colored red, but dark red.

It is the tombstone belonged to Bruce Lee.

BRUCE LEE

BORN: November 27, 1940
DIED: July 20, 1973

We hear Linda's V.O. narration appears.

LINDA (V.O.)

One month later on the 19th after his death
Enter the Dragon was released and it became
a huge success, I went to the premiere and I did
it for him. It's his movie, it's what he wanted
to show the world that they were ready for a
Chinese leading hero...

As we end it, we hear in O.S., Footsteps from the person, we PAN
around and stop to reveal the person is LINDA, wearing sunglasses,
staring at the tombstone, and she takes her glasses off.

LINDA

Staring for a moment.

Tears fill coming out of her eyes, doesn't make a sound, not even a
bit.

ANGLE (SIDE VIEW) - LINDA

Standing there as the snow fills more.

LINDA

Merry Christmas, honey.

She sighs, looks down on the grass filled with snow for a moment until
she looks up and then turns to walk away off-screen.

Hold on the snow until...

CUT TO BLACK

BLACK SCREEN
Silence.

Thanks for posting this Nick. Heard of it over the years and it sounds like a decent story, but of course missing a great deal of facts.
