Bruce passed away on Jul 20th, 1973. The next day, the entire HK newspapers were covered with reports on BL's passing and speculations on his death.

1) According to HK Pictorial News dated Jul 22nd, 1973 (source: http://www.robertchua.com/robertchua.co ... alNews.jpg
), TVB's EYT producer, Robert Chua was shocked with Lee's sudden death as he just had dinner with Bruce about 2 weeks ago (i.e. Jul 5th) after Bruce finished his EYT interview, talking about the "Lo Wei's incident". Bruce had promised Robert that he would accompanied him to Singapore on Nov, 1973 to appear in a charity event over there. But now, the plan was ruined. To commemorate his good friend, Robert, being an effective producer, had decided to put on a TV special on Bruce. This would include photos that showed Bruce from his childhood to his adult days, clips of his Cantonese movies like "The Orphan", his U.S. TV series, "The Green Hornet", "Longstreet", plus his HK movies, from "The Big Boss" to "The Game of Death" as well as all his interviews and demos on TVB. In addition, this TV special would interview men on the street, his associates and friends, and capture the funeral scenes. The TV special was to cover Bruce's life in various aspects. Robert had liaise with Yu Meng and Raymond Chow for their assistance and he had planned to get Ivan Ho to be the commentator. It was planned to release on either Wed (i.e. 25th) or Thur (i.e. 26th), the last day of the funeral.

On the other hand, TVB News department were the first to release "Bruce Lee's Special" last night (i.e. Jul 21st, 9:35pm). It was also known as the "Bruce Lee's Death Special News Report" . The running time should be around 10 minutes.
Here is the link to this "BL Special" which lasted only around 5 minutes :

2) According to another HK Pictorial News dated Jul 25th, 1973 (source: http://www.robertchua.com/wp-content/up ... torial.jpg), Robert had sent his subordinates to GH to obtain BL movies footage and BL TVB footage and edited them into an hour plus commemorative TV special. It was scheduled to air on the night after the last visitation on Bruce's funeral(ie. Jul 25th). Robert was to be accompanied by his TVB crew members Josiah Lau, Lydia Sum, Tam Peng Mun etc. to attend the funeral that afternoon. In contrast to TVB, RTV so far had not take any action in commemorating BL or report news on Bruce's funeral, the media urged RTV to be more positive like TVB in showing similar programs on this HK superstar to the RTV's audience.

According to the TV audience, this entire "BL's Commemorative TV Special" which was aired on JUl 25th EYT show, produced by TVB entertainment group lasted an hour or so. Some of the viewers saw clips of Bruce's in different TVB appearances. However, during the Aug 6th, 1993 re-run of this show, all Bruce's appearances were cut to the disappointment of the audience. Part of this program can be found on youtube.
