BSA 12/15, new Lothar Walther .30 barrel, 1 in 12 twist, chambered for 32-20 - but shooting .308 bullets of course...  Still some work to be done:  blueing, wood refinish; taditional tang sight.  But she does seem eager to please...

Gert

Rather a small calibre for you, and one in the white not like you at all. Going to Bisley is it?
You will end up with me in the Long Range .22 if you are not careful.

The main purpose of this little twirp is continental short-range competitions (up to 300 meters), but yes  - it might just make the crossing too...  After all, with a period-correct tang sight, it would be just about ideal for 200yds vintage match work.  And that's not even talking about nitro loads, of course...
The ammunition is a bit of an eye-opener, with bullets between 151 and 174 grs.  The 174gr bullet is almost as long as the case...

32-20tgt15.2.2018_LI.jpg Yesterday evening I went for score, with a bullet that up to now didn't really perform well.  The only change I did was size to to .308 instead of .309, which halved the group and made it more regular.  Still, some room for improvement as towards te end of the shoot, I shot an uncalled 9 at 4 o'clock.  So For the next shot, I wiped with 2 patches instead of 1, and the next shot landed back into the x-ring :)
