Hello Guys
I have been lurking as a guest for sometime and finally joined! I love the way people are ready to help and advise -long may it continue! If any one with a Greener .310 cadet would like a photocopy of the ORIGINAL advert for the .310, 250, etc I would be happy to post it at my own expense as I have the 1909 book by W. W. Greener "The Gun and its Development" well - thats my contibution! I will be happy to look up original loads etc if anyone wants it. Now please read my wanted ad and sell me one! Then I will want a bigbore job as I love the way the action works etc (model engineer by inclination - stationary steam engines. oh and I crew a real traction engine Wallis and Stevens 1930 the last one!) So as you can see I appreciate the engineering and the rugged simplicity of such a strong design. Im sure it will be a pleasure getting to know you all. I hunt over 110 acres -usually with a shotgun (Beretta 686 - design again) and my own highly trick airguns (FAC) The land is FAC cleared so I may be able to take you with me - the farmer farms TREES! so deer are a nusiance and he has a DEFRA licence to shoot them. Except old Curly doesnt shoot! I have sole rights and BP etc is not a problem. My other half is in a re-enactment society and shoots matchlock, doglock, wheel lock - and a BIG 10 bore percussion shotgun (and she clay shoots with it - and hits them!) I customise guns - (lathe, mill etc) and am happy to show you photos but obviosly not on a board dedicated to MH - until I customise one myself. the photos will then be posted for all to see. I am planning on an engine turned block, browned action, monte carlo stock and I am huming about a schutzen fore end. I may even shoot it (LOL) with a fair wind and an understanding FLO!
Look forward to conversing with you all.
Thanks
Jay

Welcome, Jay!

Your approximate location in the world would be of assistance to us, if anyone has a rifle to sell you ... (I am unfamiliar with the sorts of regulations & permits you have referred to, though my guess is the UK?)Grant Rombough
