No nothing looks as if it has been removed.  It has been around a long time it is very early probably first year production around 1909 so who knows what it has been through in its life.
But it still shoots very well.  TJ.

This one is in .22rf  I have a similar age model 6 with the high gloss ( but no engraving) receiver in .297/230 also a Mod 6 T/D high gloss just post WW1 in .300 XL ( amongst others ) 

I do like my Martini BSA and Greener.  TJ

You and I must think alike. Even though I have sold most of my collection, I kept a cased, engraved, Model 6 .22 LR and a plain one.
