Just bought a bayonet for my new Snider Artillery carbine.
CIMG1653.jpg A very adequate example for which I am looking for a scabbard but that is not the reason for the post.

What I am curious about is the stamp on the foot of the blade. It may be very common but I am no special bayonet aficionado.
stamp.jpeg Apologies for the quality.

Very common on bayonets. Knight's head. Google Kirschbaum, tons of info. German maker. (Sorry for brevity).
