1. Kitimat Ice Demons (1-0) - The defending Coy Cup champs begin on top with a dominating home ice performance against the Rampage.
2. Williams Lake Stampeders (1-0) - 14 goals against the leagues newest member is a statement that this teams offence is better then ever.
3. Smithers Steelheads (1-0) - Hold on for an expected win this week. Next week will be a big test.
4. Houston Luckies (1-0) - A crushing victory over Hazelton is a good start. Can they push Smithers for the division crown?
5. Quesnel Kangaroos (1-0) - A triumphant return to the league has the roos in the top 5. Staying there could be a challenge for them.
6. Terrace River Kings (0-1) - A good showing against a perennial power. 3 goals against Wall is encouraging for a team that has struggled to find offence in past seasons.
7. Omineca Ice (0-1) - These guys look to be a better team. We'll see if they can continue to improve.
8. Prince Rupert Rampage (0-1) - Tough start. The Rampage have lots to prove without their top 2 scorers from a year ago.
9. Hazelton (0-1) - A tough loss to start the year. looks like another long season in Hazelton
10. Lac Le Hache (0-1) - Got their feet wet this weekend, but it looks like wins will be few and far between for the Tomahawks.

1) KITIMAT - dominated a good team...
2) HOUSTON - beat Hazelton soundly...
3) WM. LAKE - Another dominant game by one of the leagues best teams (I give them the #3 spot over Smithers simply because of the their margin of victory...and it was Cliff P's first game as head coach... good job Cliff....
4) SMITHERS - STILL the team to beat...
5) TERRACE - Good outing in Smithers
6) QUESNEL - Hard to measure...
7) OMENICA - improved?
8) PRINCE RUPERT - ouch....
9) LAC LA HACHE - Welcome to the CIHL...
10) HAZELTON - Lots of heart...

Up Coming games of the week to watch...

1 Quesnel in Houston...
2 Wm. Lake in Smithers...

Thanks Spabb. Correction made.

What are you talking about Smisko? Anyone on a card has to play 5 regular season games if they want to partake in the playoffs and weekend games/results is what determines who gets in the playoffs and who plays who.... so it matters.
