Warm up wrapping up and both teams with changes. Rupert sees Johnny Hunt move up to the big line with the Stava's. Robin Gomez to the second line with scoring champ Rob Millar drawing in on the wing with Brlecic.

For Kitimat, pretty energetic warm up minus Jamie Moran. Should be a good one.

All tied at 1-1.

After all the excitement of warm-up, there was disappointment at the puck drop as Rob Millar did not take to the ice. The lines instead looked the same as last night. Kitimat openner the scoring on a goal by Daniel Mayer (D Higginson). Generous assist as the goal was the result of Mayer picking off a D to D pass at the Rampage blueline.

Brett Stava (R Gomez, JT Ward) got the Rampage even not long after. The teams traded a couple more good chances a piece. Vilness made a desperation stick save, while the Ice Demons rang one off the post. A couple powerplays in the period, one for Rupert and two for Kitimat. Like most of these matchups, it's been a little feeling out and then some run and gun.

Kitimat 2, Rupert 1

Pretty back and forth period with teams trading chances and both goalies making some good saves. Both teams with a couple powerplay chances, with Blaine Markwart (J Baker) putting Kitimat ahead shortly after serving a penalty. Bit of a bad goal for the Rupert side as all three forwards coasted back into their zone after a turnover.

Movold made a couple big saves with ten seconds to go to keep this game close. Need a big push to start the third. Let's go boys.

Another night and another tough loss for the Rampage. It wasn't for lack of trying, or compete level for that matter as Rupert battled in this one. It's been a long couple days, so the story is going to be short this evening. Rupert has seen Kitimat more than any other team (20 times by my count). A good number of those games have been highly entertaining and this one was no different. Lot's of back and forth and in the end Rupert made a few more mistakes than the Demons.

For Kitimat, they've seized control of their destiny and a place at the table Saturday night is in their sights. For Rupert, well the writing is on the wall as it's now "win and your in" time. For those of you that haven't been down to the Jim (and live in Rupert), you really should come out tomorrow. The hockey's been great and I expect two more quality games.
