I really like his book "Confessions of a Mask" and his movie "The Rite of Love and Death
Patriotism".
I currently do not have suicidal thoughts.

I read a lot in the past, now I'm not reading so much.
I have to say that some books have changed my life.

is a good one to start with. It's part of the four novel cycle The Sea Of Fertility. I'm not sure if you can still get the single volume now. Still have mine from the 80s.

Total nutter (which does not mean he wasn't a great writer)! He didn't just commit suicide, he committed seppuku, after his attempted right-wing military coup went pear-shaped.
