As I recall one of the hits packages....

But Outside did diddly squat and Heathen sold a couple of million.....

I think Tonight did rather well albeit I never play it

Outside sold poorly and the concerts to promote the album overall were not that good imo. Tonight and Never Let me Down sold in millions. The Glass spider tour was huge as where the profits from it.

the British sales cannot be right .

I am sure i read somewhere that Ziggy and Hunky were at least 6 times platinum - at least 1.5 million sales each.....that was way back.........

I was of a similar opinion Mick not so much on the figures but that they had sold a lot more. I just didn't like to say.

i would definitely have said tonight & never let me down & even black tie white noise it hit number 1 & had a top 10 single.
i would think outside is way down, heathen also would have done quite well.
as for those 70s albums i doubt none of them are massive million sellers they probably just reached platinum status.
they werent big sellers & have probably only sold very steadily over the years with the reissues & on the back of various tours.
bowie has never been a big seller compared to most other artists i have always seen him as more of a cult artist even tho he has tasted good sales in parts.
even tho lets dance by bowies standards sold very well in comparison to others it's chicken feed.
but im comfortable with that, he has gained more respect than most others & influenced countless artists even tho general joe public wouldnt say so or recognise this.
