What was Shonda Rhimes thinking?
I was channel surfing tonight and stumbled through “Grey’s Anatomy”
At the end of the show was a Madame Curie moment about growing mini-livers.
And the positive results came from a mouse named David Bowie whose cells migrated without polymers.  WTF.
Calling the girl with the mousey hair...

Actually, there must be hundreds of TV shows that reference him when you think of it. Now I'm a bit long in the tooth but I cast my mind filters back to 1972 and ATV's afternoon soap "GENERAL HOSPITAL" a UK series.  A patient played by the late Windsor Davies (later to be cast in the BBC's It Ain't Half Hot Mum) moaned about not being able to listen to the radio without always hearing Marc Bolan or David Bowie and asked "what the heck is a Mott The Hoople?".....

and in 1973's "MARKED PERSONAL" another afternoon soap this time about the personnel department of a global company, had a character sighing into her coffee with the words " I just want to marry someone cool calm and cosmopolitan....like David Bowie.

Just thought you'd like to know!

Fringe is full of DB references too... one of the first villains in it is called David Robert Jones, another is Thomas Jerome Newton, and one of the main characters loves music from the 70s and eventually tracks down (and plays) his copy of The Man Who Sold the World... that album, and especially it’s original US cover often sprung to mind watching it.
it was also a great show and well worth a watch.

In one episode of 'The Young Ones' ... there is a scene at a grave site when the vicar says "Ashes to ashes," Rick responds with "Funk to funky, we all know Major Tom's a junkie".

“Flight Of The Conchords” had a “Bowie” episode in its first season...total hoot. Jemaine Clements revived his impersonation in Disney’s “Moana” as a giant sparkly crab with mismatched pupils...I’m not making this up.
"Schtum!"
