2 starters - and bizarrely, both Junk Shop Glam classics by 50's rocker Marty Wilde:

Zappo - 'Rock N Roll Crazy'

'Cool sneakers and a Bowie hairdo'

Dazzling All Night Party - '20 Fantastic Bands'

'There was David Bowie swinging from the chandelier...'

About 10 years ago, there was a pop duo from here that had a minor hit called Bowie Tapes:

Don't know the lyrics, though...

P-Funk

Then I was down south and I heard some funk with some main ingredients
Like Doobie Brothers, Blue Magic, David Bowie.
It was cool,
But can you imagine Doobiein' your funk? Ho!
WEFUNK, we funk.
Make my funk the P.Funk (ho!)

I've always liked that one...though I'd missed the Bowie reference until now.

It's got an 'Exile on Main Street' sound, slightly.

Also re Bowie mentions - He! Pep and Hard Life in Country by The Fall.

ok. I tried to search for the most obvious of pop tunes that would mention Bowie. There was a pop tune that tried to mention every popular artist going. 70's or 80's Remember Pop Muzik by M., the rhythm was similar.

I can't find it.
