pop is just short for popular...bowie used to be pop (starman etc.)

i like that cheesy 80s song king of rock n' roll. they had people in hot dog suts dancing in the video...on the other hand i hope the band have all died horrible deaths...

I love Abba,have all their records, many re releases too. Also have most of the solo music of the group members, even meet Bjorn once.

And also love Wham!, they made good music back in the '80.

It's no disgrace to work in pop music; from Stephen Foster to Burt Bacharach to Abba to, well...Bowie, a good, well-build pop song is a joy to listen to. It's like animation to me - essentially a popular art form with occasional pretensions. Both deserve to be taken seriously.

I think most people develope specific taste's through their love of pop ?

Music should be used in all its forms to the advantage of the listner as and when it suits !
