latin americans I'm thinking may well be from the sound and vision tour. there were a couple of soundboard broadcasts from the south American part of that tour.

rock in rio.
Santiago Chile

that's all I can think of.

I'm not sure a tin machine set would be listed as David bowie.
I maybe wrong but I'm sticking with the sound and vision tour possibly for japan set too. certainly tokyo is a good shout.

Looking forward to the new Queen News Of The World boxset Sylvianne? Usual mix of some tasty genuinely unreleased material and stuff we've a had before. A bit pricy, but will be excited to see it and hear it.

Would be great to get any Bowie album with the same treatment.

Remember on the radio a great fast version of We Will Rock You, which around the time I saw this version live, the version has some dialogue from Roger and then leads into a blistering version of WWRY .

Don't waste your time waiting this kind of release by Bowie, we have to wait at least more 4 boring boxsets before they release anything of ryko years, songs "never heard before" just rich guys of small circles and Tony Visconti friends can hear privately.

There's a few versions of the fast WWRY around - the BBC session from '77 is on this new set (and was on the BBC release last year) although the best is the Live Killers (1979) version. BEST. GIG. OPENER. EVER.

Music fans who swerve Queen usually give it an appreciative 'Woah hoah there!!' and secretly download it.

The CD’s will be released by the Anglo Atlantic label.

https://www.discogs.com/David-Bowie-Acr ... e/10324947

According to the content of the other CD’s there will be FM broadcasts and other soundboardrecordings of the tours on them.

hi hangy
yes I saw it, I've not looked at it in depth really. it's not one of my favourite albums truth be told and yes some of it like bbc I already have so I'm not sure if il get the big boxset yet. not quite sure how I feel about this one so I doubt il rush to get it. I'm mainly only buying bowie boots which are costing me a fortune as it is though I did buy the wonderful new sparks album.

Some more info on these. The Japan set has, as expected, the Tokyo 1990 broadcast, plus the Tokyo 1978 broadcast that’s been on a few of these things, plus that well known Japanese show from St Louis in 1995 with NIN that seems to be on just about all of these sets as a filler!

The other one is a little more vague-all S&V shows but I haven’t seen which ones. From the track listing it looks like one complete show (presumably Rio) and two others edited down to a disk each (Santiago plus one other?).

So basically don’t waste your money on these bootlegs-if you want these then just join Bowie Station or somewhere like that and get them for nothing in probably better quality, or go to YouTube as that’s probably their source anyway... or at least until if/when these are released officially...

yeah it's a bit of a mess to be fair.
it does look to me like discs 2 and 3 are of the santiago Chile show. panic in Detroit was played there & it looks complete. disc 1 looks like Rio but pretty pink rose seems to be missing. both were broadcasts. but disc 4 could also be Rio with something missing Jean genie I think.
I'm expecting it to have flaws put it that way but il be happy to get the Santiago show at least.
the in japan set is not so good apart from it looks like the complete Tokyo broadcast on may 16th 1990. but again tokyo 78 and st Louis 95.

Ordered the Latin Americans CD, S&V was my first Bowie concert. I already have the soundboard Rio show, but that sounds too clean without any audience noise. Let's see how this 4CD turns out. The artwork looks decent too, unlike the Japan CD which is really awful. The Collaborations 4CD was also not too bad and inexpensive.

I know Tokyo and Santiago (Chile).
The soundquality is okay.
But the artwork sucks.
S+V with an Earthling picture. Amateurs.

Received the 6-CD Sound & Visions set today, very nice. I already ordered the Latin Americans 4CD set from eBay (it was out of stock at amazon), but will sell it again once I get it (has not arrived yet), as the S&V 6-CD set is more complete.

The Tokyo show starts mid Space Oddity like the Youtube video that is available of this show, suspecting that this YT video may actually be the source (or was it really aired like that?). Sound is okay though. The Rio show sounds great, but is truncated. I already have the Rock in Rio 2CD but that disc does not have any audience noise on it, sounding very clean. This one seems a little bit better. The Chile show is a bit too bass-heavy. The Argentina show is also truncated but sounds fine, but there are gaps in China Girl and the first bars of Fame are missing. Have not yet been able to listen to all 6 discs in full so cannot comment on any other gaps or skips yet. But overall the sound quality is really decent.

Set would have been better even if 1990 photos were used instead of the Earthling and Stage ones. I actually like the coloured CDs, at least they use a period picture.

But still a bargain. In 1990, such a 6-disc bootleg would have cost a fortune, I remember buying the 2 separate CDs of the Milton Keynes show at the time for 40 Dutch guilders each (that would be 30€ in today's money, adjusted for inflation).

There is also a 2-disc vinyl set of this item, sold as two separate LPs, truncated of course.
