No need to buy the Glastonbury CD & DVD set if you think it’s too expensive then. You would have thought they would have waited a bit until the initial excitement and sales with regards to this release had waned.

Looking forward to the First Five Years documentary when it’s broadcast.
SHHWEEET! IS....A self confessed, radicalised David Bowie knob ha! ha! I’m in good company. Let’s all celebrate together.

True

Having said that though even an hour might be enough to satisfy those who aren’t really prepared to spend £35.00 on this which I agree is quite expensive.

It seems a bit of a strange decision to me. I can understand them showing it on the TV say in a years time because by then in theory they should have sold a few and made some money which would then hopefully encourage them to release more of this kind of stuff we want.

Maybe because the BBC had something to do with this has meant it has to / can be shown? After all television is their main business isn’t it.

I taped the section of Glastonbury that the BBC broadcast on the night, but barely watched it thereafter and can't remember much about it now, beyond him walking on with his recreated Haddon Hall look and going into a pretty good version of Wild Is The Wind. Did the BBC broadcast the first 30 minutes or so, or was it 30-minutesworth of selected highlights picked from the whole gig?

Wild Is The Wind
China Girl
Changes
Stay
Life On Mars
Ziggy Stardust
Heroes

So first 5 songs in the set list then it cut to Ziggy Stardust and Heroes near the end.

wild is the wind is the nuts and quite moving actually, it's a bit of a shiver down the spine job when he walks out. its the best live version I ever heard with a brilliant longer intro.

This is wonderful news! Could the snippets of unheard songs to be aired in July be the preface for a superdelux edition of the album in November 2019? That would certainly be an amazing Christmas release.
