Sounds great. Especially the new Ziggy Documentry.
Wonder if that's the same documentry that was being mooted about a few months back?

Also, I hope if the 'Genuis of Bowie' is a compilation of music performances/videos that the BBC try and show some unusual choices that span the decades.

Would've been nice to seen 'Baal' or 'Cracked Actor' shown, too. But, hey, this is more to do with the 40th anniversary of Ziggy so perhaps one shouldn't complain too much. However, it would be great if there was a lavish documentry somewhere down the line that charts Bowie's life and career. A two-parter, maybe, with rare footage, interviews and tributes etc.

I think it is time Bowie got his own Anthology like The Beatles did. A 9 disc DVD box set with every part of his career covered, all the rare footage available and cleaned up with a companion CD set, say 3 X two disc volumes.

It just astounds me that someone who has had such an impact of culture in the past 40 years is so poorly received on DVD. If you are a casual Bowie fan and go to a record store all you are going to find is the video collection and a handful of live concert DVD's with next to nothing from the 70's.

I really hope this is intelligently done. It will be most welcome in my house, but these things so often disappoint. And suddenly everyone misguidedly becomes a Bowie expert over night.

wow that was good. For the reason it was factually correct. It was intelligent and Jarvis Cocker had the passion of any of us.

It was also good to see Elton commenting on how good Bowie was, something I don't think I've ever seen before.

10/10

I managed to record it, but my DVD player only records the left audio channel.
