One of my favoiurite boots - great sound.
There are a lot of fakes about of the original Dancing Horse release so be careful if you're trying to buy an original.

i would say its good quality it could be better.
its not excellent as per the fm radio broadcasts we all know and love and its not up there with live inside/hurling disdain or telling lies in terms of sound quality that is.
for a cyber broadcast i thought it might have been better.
i would give it a 6/10 it's not amongst my favourites personally.

The originals are digipaks as per here:
http://www.algonet.se/~bassman/bootlegs/
Some of the copies on Ebay over the last year or so have been printed CDrs in jewel cases - even printed with the dancing horse logo but they don't look right to me.

i always thought this was bad quality...it has dropouts and everything in it...audience noise is loud, there's no depth to the sound...do people have a different version?

i'd give it a 6/10 no where near as good outside in budapest (which is incomplete) and paradiso etc.

the best quality from this time:

outisde in budapest (sb) -incomplete
paradiso amsterdam (FM) -incomplete
phoenix festival
Lorely

and port chester, NY (the full show not the tv broadcast from sb)

even the ones from canada which have been labelled soundboard by some leave me cold. and of course there's the official liveandwell.

you know... it's been YEARS since I've listened to that bootleg...

but from what I recall - it was really disappointing. B/c it's such a great set list, and you get some songs professionally recorded that are unavailable elsewhere (like "O Superman") but the sound quality was awful. It was recorded from a "Real Player" stream back in the 90's... technology wasn't that far along back then.

It had loads of digi-noise and was crazy treble-y

it was actually one of the VERY few bootlegs that I never bothered to keep a copy of (in digital, MD, cd-r backup form)

but... mmmmaaayyyyybbbbeeee I'm remembering it wrong, or someone has a better copy of the show than I did

which is possible, as it was broadcast on the internet and many people could've made different copies

what biro said, does anyone have a better quality one? it would be worth a dusting off for o superman alone.

what the fuck does a four C rating mean (if the artwork is anything to go by it means crap).

my version sounded tinny and had skips/dropouts...great tracklisting though...will have to dig out...

I had the dancing horse cd it was in card sleeve with the discs in those cloth pouches.great track list but sound quality not as good as some, its definitely not up there with hurling disdain, telling lies, budapest etc or any of the fm broadcasts such as montreal 83,87,milton keynes 90, sydney 87,nyc birthday gig.
agree with wok 6/10 i think is about the right rating.
i sold mine but do have it on my hard drive, i would'nt pay too much for it but its worth a free download.

I agree with Claude 8 out of 10 for Cyberspace....yes there is some background noise .....seems to be mainly distortion of the audience but the vocals and music is very clear.....listened to My Death today and its a cracking version.....as boots go this is a great buy in my view......... What a talent our man is!

it is definitely not in clear stereo.
do not buy it dl it for free then it is worth it.
i paid £30 for it and felt well ripped off.
many would pay more for it tho i suspect and have done.
