Hi...

Total newbie to the Warhammer world but heard this was a good place to ask for advice on all related subjects concerning the Imperial Guard.

I chose the 'Guard due to it being the most 'realistic' looking of forces as ive always wanted to paint my own army, now i have the time its on! however the gaming bug has taken hold and now id appreciate and tips help and/or guidance on building my self an awesome looking but competitive force!

Glad to be aboard

Welcome, Private. The line forms over there for your mandatory forehead bar code tattoo. Once that's done, see the quartermaster for your cardboard boxes to cut your body armor out of. Oh, and do yourself a favor and avoid the coffee. You don't want to know what they use for the filter.

Welcome around :B):
The correct answer is: Because that is our job

I sometimes question my sanity. Occasionally it replies.

Welcome!

You've come to the right place for assistance! This forum has everything from building and painting to list-assembly, not to mention some serious fluff buffs. And we're nice. Mostly.

If you can't stomach the coffee, the Arty people have a great still set up. The first few sips taste like fyceline, but after the fourth or fifth you won't care. Ignore the charts on the walls, we have a running wager for how long each replacement survives. Speaking of which, if you feel the sudden urge to do something incredibly brave around 0615 tomorrow morning, my bag of gelt would really appreciate it.

Appreciate the welcome...

I aim to have the Cadian 101st Assault Company up to battle standard in a few week.

Just one question, do you need to charge the batteries of a lasgun as i fired mine all day at a necron and all i did was tickle it??

Wait, you somehow acquired a lasgun already? Oh, never mind, it's the new system, he must've taken it from the guys who drank too much of our coffee. Armour's in that other pile. Take one with less holes in it. You'll do great here. Sanity's name is Dave and he's seen walking around with his underpants on his head.

Also, I name you my personal lackey. Those stills won't run themselves, you know....

P.S. Welcome to boot camp! :salute2:
