Stayed here on 7/31 - 8/2 of 2006. The hotel and rooms are very nice, clean and spacious. Beautiful outdoor pool is available for guests. Staff at front desk were knowledgeable and helpful with my requests for area information. Computer center with internet is available, but not free. I did not visit the bar or restaurant. Bar is right off the lobby, and I could smell the smoke from the bar as soon as I walked in.
This hotel, while very nice is a good 30+ minutes from downtown St. Louis. I was aware of its distance from downtown when I bid, however, I guess I didn't realize how long it would take to get there. If I were visiting downtown attractions, I would bid on a closer area and spend more money to stay closer.
I was placed in a smoking room, despite my request to have a non-smoking room. The front desk staff loudly reminded me that with Priceline, I have no guarantees to the type of room I would get to stay in. I was slightly dissappointed, since I've never had any problems receiving the room type I requested when bidding with priceline, but that's the risk you take, I suppose!
I would recommend this hotel if your activities will place you on the West side of St. Louis.

We just completed our stay on April 16, 2008. I got 2 rooms for $34 each on a Wed. night. Both rooms were perfect. My room was on the 8th floor, my Uncle's room was on the 5th. Both rooms were 2 double beds, non-smoking. I asked for a King, but she said there weren't any Kings left in the hotel for that night. My Uncle described the hotel and room as "swanky!. The staff was very courteous at check-in. The rooms were clean, great bed with comfy comforter, lots of thick towels, lots of hot water, very nice decor and colors, delicious cookies on check-in, gorgeous and huge lobby. We had no complaints whatsoever!! It was also a very quiet room.
I did see that there were people right across the hall, but never heard a peep from anywhere, not even hallway noise. No added charges either.
We would sure love to get this hotel again sometime.
Be careful to pay attention to the little things in life, for some day, you may look back and realize, those were the BIG things.

We were pleased with our 6/14-6/18 stay at this hotel. The lobby was very elegant, friendly staff & our request for a high floor was honored. Enjoyed the view overlooking the Chesterfield Valley from our 11th floor room. As mentioned in other reviews, the A/C was quite loud & was right by the bed. The noise from it switching on and off did keep us awake the first night. Additionally, there were some loud guests the first night (Saturday). I guess we got used to the A/C after that & didn't hear any more loud guests for the next 3 nights. We used the indoor pool, which stayed open until 10:00 pm and it was very nice. We did not use the outdoor pool, which had a lifeguard and closed at 8:00 pm. Great PL deal!

Very good hotel for the price paid, $40 and $42 respectively. Pleasant check in both times. Rooms are comfortable for two adults and two kids. Both stays were on Sunday nights: restaurant and lobby bar are closed on Sundays, so we ordered in. Bar/fast food by the racquet club was open. Outdoor pool was excellent on a sunny summer day. Indoor pool was ok, but hot tub was not hot, only regular pool temprature. Service overall was very good. On the first stay, the bell stand was right there both coming and going. I always appriciate having them when available. On the second stay, they could have cared less whether they assisted or not, so I did it myself. Pay per view movie had a jumpy and blurry picture. Call to the front desk had engineering up to the room in five minutes. He fixed the picture, and came back with a coupon for free breakfast for our trouble. We would stay there again.

Had some problems finding the property, as I came from Kansas City and it was near west bound lane. Somewhat off the highway. I had to drive around a bit, though that enabled me to find the local Schnucks grocery store. Room was very nice, business class. Nice linen on the bed. AC was loud, which was consistent w other reports. I like it loud, so no prob. The room has a little nook containing the coffee pot and ice bucket. Wolfgang Puck coffee and coffee maker. Black stone countertops in nook and by sink were very attractive. Higher quality toiletries esp milled soap. No luggage stand, which I thought was odd. I used two wood garbage cans in the room, after removing the plastic insert to be used for regular trash vs recyclables. Nice treetop view of sunset and sunrise from my 5th floor room. Nice padded chair to read in and look out my picture window. Did not use any of the inhouse eateries or recreational facilities. There was an adjacent convention center which was busy. I was very pleased w this $40 room.
Took me about 20 minutes to get to Forest Park in St Louis
