This is a 60's era "motor lodge" albeit extremely well kept. The hotel has a southwest motif and the public areas are very nice, including the oudoor heated pool and whirlpool area, which were very inviting.
The rooms are very clean with frig and microwave. Compared to newer hotels, the rooms are small, perhaps 225 sq feet. Hair dryer, coffee pot, ironing board, flat screen TV, everything you would expect.
The best feature was their full hot breakfast bar. Excellent food and plenty of choices.
All said, I didn't consider this a 3* hotel, due to the small rooms and how it compares to Priceline's 3* chains like Marriott Courtyard, Double Tree, and Hyatt. Just my opinion. Anyway, I booked this as a "Priceline Express Deal" and they had 2.5* hotels available for much higher prices. Once I got to Sierra Vista, I saw branded hotels like Fairfield Inn, Holiday Inn Express, and such nearby, so I assume those would be the 2.5* properties. Food for thought.
Stay here to save money, experience southwest charm and enjoy a great full Breakfast. The staff was excellent and called my room after arrival just to ask if everything was alright or there was anything I might need. There is a nice Mexican restaurant next door.
