I had been looking at 1* and 2* properties (about 17 of them) connected to a rewards program for a traditional booking but with an incentive rebate but having read reviews of the various properties, there were issues with all 17 properties. Hence I bid on a 2.5* property and not wanting a 1* or 2* as I might end up with a property that I did not want to stay in.
We got this room 2 days earlier for $45. The hotel is on Abercorn St. a main thoroughfare and easy to locate. Although we were there to sleep only on our way to Florida, this hotel is really how all Priceline hotels should be like as a minimum.
Check-in and check-out was quick. We received a king facing the inside courtyard and away from the elevator. The room was clean, quiet and in good shape. The pool was in the interior courtyard and we did not use. Two computers with high speed internet in the lobby available with printer/copier. Staff were allowed to use. Lots of friendly staff at this hotel which is good, almost like a big family. Free parking. Complimentary coffee in room. There was coffee in lobby when we checked-in but soon disappeared till the next morning. There are lots of restaurants in the immediate area.
Usual amenities in room with desk, chair, iron, ironing board with adequate lighting. There was a hot breakfast available for $8.95, the continental breakfast was $7.95 - did not have either.
Would stay here again without question - excellent accommodation at a bargain price.
I will second that emotion. Our clean room had a comfortable king bed, mini fridge, and a small balcony over the parking lot with table and two chairs. Local calls are $0.75 but no charge for 1-800 numbers.
The bathroom towel rod must have been loose because Housekeeping broke it during our stay. I reported it but Maintenance never showed up, so I reassembled as best I could. Traffic noise was solved by closing the curtain. Overall we were pleased with our experience here.
