Additional information: I intend to bid for three rooms (six people = three couples). I have been successfully bidding recently via Priceline using an non US card (an Austrian credit card) for a hotel in Germany. I hope I have not missed important information, if so I am sorry but happy to amend my post accordingly.

The Bidding Assistance Form says to post rates from the hotel directly. Further, the best deals for Saturday checkins come at the last minute. You will not be able to beat the rates that you posted so I would just book one of them. Why did you list the hotel websites if the rates you posted didn't come from them? Makes no sense to me.

Most hotel sites did not provide rates. Therefore, the only source for rates available via internet was e.g. booking.com as mentioned above. The only alternative would have been to post no rates at all. Since it was not clear whether the additional information of the actual hotel sites is / is not useful, I also posted the hotel sites so that both, source of rates and also hotel sites, are available.

Since some hotels are already booked out this weekend, I will follow your advice and book directly.

Thank you for your help.

The hotels are not likely booked this far in advance. They are just not allowing a Saturday checkin on their website. This is very common for Saturday checkins.
