I am currently at the Holiday Inn in Bangor ME, in a room with one bed, described by management as a "full size" bed.  We have measured and photographed it, it has a width of 50"..it has what is obviously a double headboard behind it, which  measures 54", and the bed is clearly smaller than this.  A google search of standard bed sizes confirms that a double or "full size" bed is 54" wide.  I called PL and got bounced from customer "service" to "customer "relations" and spent over half an hour on the phone debating whether or not PL had met their minimum guarantee of double occupancy accomodations. I called back a bit later and thankfully got a different agent who suggested that perhaps they would refund if the holiday inn would refund them  (hotel claimed to be totally full for tonight, so no chance of moving to a room with a bigger or multilple number of beds. )  Holiday Inn refused to do this so PL then refused to budge despite the hint that they would.  Apparently holiday Inn told PL that we had a room with a double bed, although it is clearly smaller than that.  She also offered to send an email voucher for $50, which later arrived and appears (from the subject line) to be worth $10.  I feel that if the standard of a "room for 2 adults" has been reduced to one less than double bed, than anyone using PL should do so with a great deal of caution.  I will update this saga as it unfolds.

There have been reports of hotels assigning inferior rooms with one small bed to Priceline customers.  I recall one a few years ago where people posted about getting one small bed at the 3 star Brock at Niagara Falls (now the Crowne Plaza), so no one wanted to make a bid for a 3 star in case they got the Brock.  An employee admitted to one customer that the hotel had a few of these substandard rooms that they only gave PL customers, so he spread the news.  I haven't heard such stories lately tho, and all our rooms have had the same bedding as on the hotel websites.

This property seems to have a lot of negative reviews for its 6.5 customer review rating:
