I understand that there is no "free rebid" for rental cars and if you fail you have to either change your date/time or change your car types.

I tried to change car types I bid "mid-size" then on second trial I bid "full size" then I hit a wall it won't let me try a third time with "standard" or anything else.

Since my airline arrival and departure times are like arriving one day 11:35AM and leaving 12:35PM a few days later, can I do free rebids by playing with the times?

Can I do:

Pickup: 11:00am
Pickup: 11:30am
Pickup: 12:00

Dropoff: 11am
Dropoff: 11:30am
Dropoff: 12:00

If I try different combinations I will have 9 combinations right?  Or this would not work?

You can try it but I don't think it will work.

Please place your Priceline/Hotwire bids/purchases through the link in my signature or by clicking the Priceline/Hotwire banners on the right side of the screen. And please keep Priceline in mind for your conventional travel bookings as well.

Please post all of your bids when you obtain them.

I tried bidding today for a rental in ABQ.  Surprisingly, when I changed my pickup/dropoff times from 3:00 p.m.  for both pickup and dropoff to 2:30 p.m. for both pickup and dropoff I could switch back and forth as many times as I wanted and continue to rebid without any restrictions?  I am wondering whether those bids were treated like an original bid or not?

I made at least 8 bids within 15 minutes by just switching the times from one to the other with no other changes and would have all the options of car choices I had with the original bid. Is this how the car bidding works now?  Unfortunately, I didn't get an accepted bid, but had free rein on bidding by just switching my itinerary 1/2 hour each time, back and forth.

That was very unusual and clearly a glitch. It doesn't usually work that way. Don't expect it to happen again.
