BiddingForTravel.com's main goal is to be the leading resource to educate and promote informed Priceline.com travel bidding in our user community. We have high ethical standards and will not allow any comments or postings that would violate legal statutes or could subject those associated with this board to legal recourse. In that regard, we have set out the following rules and guidelines that govern postings to the board, in addition to those specified by Yuku's Terms of Service.

In order to post, users must first register an account to enable them to do so. If desired, please refer to our privacy policy for additional information when registering. We ask that you insure that your email address associated with your board registration is kept current. While we do not have access to your email address unless you choose to display it on your profile, we do contact users through a Private Message feature from time to time to relay comments that are inappropriate for public postings. If the email address associated with your user registration is no longer valid, you will not receive this Administrator communication which could result in your future postings being removed in certain instances.

BiddingForTravel.com supports Priceline.com (US) travel bidding only. Discussions pertaining to other sellers of opaque travel (Hotwire, Expedia Bargain Fares, etc.) are to be used solely for the purposes of becoming an informed bidder. Support for Priceline services and products in Asia and Europe (except for those sold by the United States-based website) is not currently an offering of BiddingForTravel.com and should not be posted. Postings discussing these services will be removed.

Any posting which contains information in violation of Priceline's Terms & Conditions, particularly the Acceptable Use clause, or does not conform with the intended use of Priceline.com will be removed immediately. Any intentional posting of such a violation or any other content that is known by the person posting it to misrepresent the facts will result in the immediate termination of posting privileges.

All users should familiarize themselves with the Frequently Asked Questions relevant to the Priceline.com product they are bidding (Airline Tickets FAQ, Hotel FAQ, Rental Cars FAQ). In all postings asking for bidding assistance where the information requested in the relevant FAQ is not provided, the poster will be directed to the FAQ and asked to follow up with all of the information requested.

To help with thread continuity, all postings pertaining to a single bid should be kept to one topic only, even if you decide to change the quality level or zone you are bidding for, in the case of hotels. When a winning bid is obtained, please post it on the same thread and update the subject line with the relevant winning bid information. If you are unable to edit the subject line, one of the Administrators or Moderators will edit it for you.

All postings on BiddingForTravel.com are subject to editing by an Administrator or Moderator to bring them into compliance with our specified posting guidelines and Terms of Service. We will endeavor to let you know what has been edited. Any editing or deletion will be made in accordance with these guidelines and in such a way as to not disrupt the continuity of the thread where possible. If the only edit is to the subject line, we may not provide a comment. Once an Administrator or Moderator edits a post, please do not change the content of the Administrator/Moderator's edit or you may be banned from BiddingForTravel.com.

The general posting of referral codes, whereby a commission or sign-up bonus is paid to the poster or a referring website, is not permitted and may only be posted by an Administrator, upon review. The posting of any website address is subject to removal if it is not relevant to Priceline.com travel bidding or for other reasons determined by an Administrator.

Any postings that contain information that could cause someone reading the post to misbid will either be edited for clarification or removed.

Non-Priceline travel-related questions are off topic for BiddingForTravel.com. Please do not preface your comment "I know this is off topic, but..." If you know it's off topic, please do not post it.

Posting failed bids. Please read my post here which provides the information necessary so that your post will have value to those reading it. Simply posting a failed bid without the relevant research does not promote informed bidding and offers no insight into whether or not your expectations are reasonable based on availability that meets your bidding parameters. Posts that do not include all of the information indicated are subject to removal.

Please check back a few times after posting your winning bid as someone may have a question for you that will assist in their bidding.

Reselling a Priceline reservation is not allowed on BiddingForTravel.com.

Discussions regarding travel affinity programs are off topic on BiddingForTravel.com, in as much as Priceline reservations are not supposed to earn credits, miles, stays, etc. related to these type of programs. A Frequent Guest Programs category is still available and open for certain discussions but will be monitored closely so as to insure compliance with Priceline's Terms & Conditions.

Car rental discount codes may not be posted on BiddingForTravel.com due to the threat of legal action from the general counsel's office of the parent company of two of the major rental car companies.

Criticism of board management and users. In addition to my post here, users are asked to please be respectful of all participants who post here. BiddingForTravel.com endeavors to be a resource for both the first time Priceline.com user as well as those of you who are experienced bidders. Don't forget, you were a first time user once yourself. Abuse, flames, and mockery of others will not be tolerated.

Once a reply has been given to your post, do not edit or delete your previous post(s). Post all followups as replies. Deleting a post once a reply has been given will subject you to termination of your posting privileges.

BiddingForTravel.com is the premiere resource for Priceline travel bidding because we have always maintained our focus of a serious forum where each posting is sure to help someone with their Priceline bid. Let's all do our part to remain focused on BiddingForTravel.com's goals, and when Priceline is no longer (or never was) in your travel plans, please take advantage of the extensive array of other venues for your travel-related questions.

As always, Happy Bidding!

We have recently had a user who thought he was being clever by encouraging our users to email him so he could share information in clear violation of both Priceline.com's Terms & Conditions and Ezboard's Terms of Use. I cannot stress enough that BiddingForTravel.com will not in any way be associated with illegal activities or violations as described above. Our zero tolerance policy will result in immediate banning and notification to Yuku to issue a global ban on posting anywhere on Yuku.

Our posting guidelines and policies are clearly stated here. If an Administrator or Moderator refers you to our Posting Guidelines, do not ask us why we have these policies or in any way question our judgment. Once you post here, you are bound by the Posting Guidelines That Govern BiddingForTravel.com.
