Because the purpose of this board is to make everyone informed bidders, please include the results of your rate/fare research when posting unsuccessful bidding attempts. Simply posting failed bids without knowing availability really isnt of any use to other readers because we have no way of knowing if its a lack of Pricelines access to inventory or an unreasonable expectation based on available rates/fares.
Bidding blindly without first doing your research can lead to either wasted bids or an overbid.
From this point going forward, if you choose to put up a post simply indicating your failed bids, you must include all of the following or your post may be removed. The percentage amounts listed are minimum thresholds for posting failed bids. It is not a bidding suggestion.
City/Zone/Travel Dates/Quality Level(s) Bid
The lowest available rates that meet all of your bidding parameters, as found on the hotels' websites. Be sure to always name the hotel alongside the rate you post.
The failed bid must be at least 35% of the lowest available rate, with a minimum total value bid of $28 for 2-1/2*, $33 for 3* or $40 for 4* hotels and $55 for 5* hotels.
This is not a bidding suggestion. It is the minimum required to post a failed bid.

Please understand that this board policy in no way discourages you from bidding however you choose; however, the above rules have been set in order to promote the goal of informed bidding and to be of any value to those reading your post as we don't want BiddingForTravel.com to become deluged with posts of failed bids that don't really serve any useful purpose to others.
