I stayed here for 2 nights Feb 21 and 22. Upon checking in I had the choice of a 2 beds or a King, chose the King. The grounds are lovely and well maintained with lots of lawn and hammocks in the trees. The Rooms are single story and in groups of 4 or more and have a front door and a back door. The back door of my room opened onto nice lawn with Croquet Game set up on it, there was a little private patio with chairs and table also. Inside there was a fridge with mini-bar, safe, Iron & board, blow dryer, ample towels and nice Bath & Body Works shampoo, conditioner, lotion and 2 soaps. Also there was a coffee maker with complimentary coffee supplies. There was a nice size desk area and chair, and another chair and ottoman. The second night I paid the $20 upgrade to a 1 bedroom/King that had a high walled patio with a private Jacuzzi for 2 on the patio, this suite also had a sleeper sofa in the living room as well as a desk, etc. There are tennis courts and a nice pool. This is an older Marriot run property right behing the Borgata, a high end shopping mall on Scottsdale Blvd. Overall a very clean, quiet pleasant place with very friendly and accomodating staff. They also have a on site restaurant that I didn't try and room service, had a cheese quesadilla for $7.

While no one has posted a review of this hotel since it became the Cottonwood Resort, it has not received favorable comments of late.

I used to live in Paradise Valley. While I never stayed here it's in a high end shopping/dining area. I ate in the restaurant once and it was nice. I can't imagine it being called 3 stars but OK. I bet not many people get this one.
